From September 3 to 6, 2025, Monthey will become the world capital of Pump Track during the 2025 UCI Pump Track World Championships.
The world’s best riders will compete on a challenging course, offering an exciting experience in a beautiful setting, right in the heart of the Valais.
A pump track is a dynamic, looping course packed with whoops, rollers, and bermed corners—designed to be ridden without pedaling. Riders generate speed by "pumping" through the track using their arms and legs, mastering control, flow, and efficiency. This skill is a game-changer for trail riding, providing a competitive edge and an intense full-body workout.High-speed action, head-to-head duels, and pure adrenaline—this is pump track at its finest!
Organizing such a global sporting event in our municipality is a real opportunity to promote our beautiful region far beyond traditional boundaries.
Fabrice Thétaz, President of the City of Monthey
This event is an exceptional celebration, placing sport, sustainable heritage, and culture at the heart of the World Championships. For five days, Monthey will offer a unique experience to its spectators and visitors, blending these three dimensions in an innovative way, reflecting the expertise of the Chablais region.
Cédric Jayet, president of the Monthey Organizing Committee
I am proud to be part of this adventure and to promote the rising discipline of Pump Track among the youth.
