Find out how best to travel to Valais and its venues during the 2025 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships.
Valais is very well connected with a multitude of sustainable transport options to get to all the competition sites. We want the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships to be as sustainable as possible. Cycling and public transport are excellent ways of getting to the various competition venues. Travel by train or bus, and admire the Valais countryside in complete peace and quiet. By Postbus, cable car or funicular, the many connections make it easy and comfortable to reach the various destinations in Valais.
To get around the canton's valleys with your mountain bike, there’s nothing easier than using the bus and train lines, which offer transport services for bikes of all kinds. During the summer months, from mid-May to mid-October, more than 40 bus routes can be used with a mountain bike, while the buses are equipped with bike racks or trailers for transporting two-wheelers. Special bike racks are also available on trains running throughout the Valais. As bicycle transport capacity is limited, we recommend reserving your place on the SBB mobile app or cff.ch.
