As a benchmark event in the mountainous Mountain Bike Marathon scene, the event will award national titles during its 34th edition this year. In 2025, the Grand Raid will host the world's elite during the 2025 UCI Mountain Bike Marathon World Championships.
Monthey, the economic capital of the Chablais region, will be taking part in the 2025 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships in Valais and will be hosting the Pump Track event. In 2024, the city will inaugurate its Pump Track course and host the Velosolutions UCI Pump Track World Championships Switzerland Qualifier as well as the Pump Track Valais/Wallis Final.
